Better Together Fitness Center is proud to offer a variety of kids classes to our community! Staying active is an intricate part of a child's daily life. If we spend the time to cultivate a child's love for movement at a young age, we can drastically improve their chances of an active and healthy lifestyle as adults. Not to mention, kids fitness classes can serve as an excellent way to get the wiggles out! At BT-Fit we encourage people of all ages to move their bodies and enjoy what it can bring.

Dance Instructor: Kate Allen
Intro to Dance for KIDS: Wednesday 4:00-5:30 pm This class offers a general introduction to dance for kids ages 7-11 yrs. Students will learn the basic body positions of ballet, the fundamentals of turning and jumping, musicality, and increase strength and flexibility all while learning a variety of choreography from different styles of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. No dance experience necessary. *No drop-ins.
Creative Movement Instructor: Sarah Gray
Creative Movement: Monday 2:30-3:15 pm Creative Movement is a joyful way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote creativity. This class incorporates movement and dance with playtime using colorful props and fun music. Classes available for 3-5 years old.
Gymnastics & Tumbling Instructor: Carrissa Gomez Mommy/Daddy and Me Tumbling: Friday 8:30-9:30 am Mommy/Daddy and Me time is one of your baby’s favorite things as well as one of the best things for your baby’s developing mind and growing body. Our Mommy and Me tumbling class is offered to all parents interested in bringing their little ones 5 months to (….) years old in age. In this class parents will learn how to work with baby on both gross and fine motor skills through movement, stretching, and by exploring simple tumbling practices. Being exposed to side-by-side play with other babies promotes social awareness and aims to help you and your baby build strength and develop new skills. Drop-Ins welcome and encouraged!
3-5 Year old Tumbling Class: Friday 10:00 – 10:45 am This class is offered to toddlers ranging from 3-5 years old who are ready to work together in learning, listening, and having fun through tumbling! This class is designed to teach your little ones the foundational skills used in tumbling such as: summer salts, cartwheels, basic beam, bar, and tumble track skills. We also work on basic motor skills, hand eye coordination, and socialization in fun creative ways! They will learn warm up exercises, stretching, balancing, basic strength building workouts, and skill building obstacle courses. No experience necessary.
6-9 years old: Tuesday 3:00 - 4:00 pm This class is offered to kids between the ages of 6-9 years old who are ready to learn beginner and advanced beginner skills while having fun through tumbling! We will work on gaining strength and flexibility needed to enhance hand-eye coordination and tumbling skills. Some examples of goals we aim for your child to reach in class are forward rolls, straddle rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, handstands and to be comfortable on the beam, bar, and tumble track. Most of all we use a flexible learning style in order for the kids to have fun, exercise and learn tumbling skills in a safe environment.
10-13 years old: Tuesday 4:15-5:15 pm This class is offered to children and teens between 10-13 years old who are ready to learn beginner, advanced beginner, and advanced skills at a quick and safe pace! We will work on gaining strength and flexibility needed to enhance basic and advanced tumbling skills at each student’s pace. Your child will learn how to safely do and combine foundational tumbling skills and work their way towards confidence in more advanced tumbling such as back walk-overs, front and back handsprings, and cartwheels on the beam. Gymnasts will also work towards being comfortable on the equipment such as the beam, bar, and tumble track and with floor exercises. Most of all we use a flexible learning style in order for the kids to have fun, exercise and learn tumbling skills in a safe environment.
